TCS signs biggest land deal in Kerala infotech sector

In what is billed as the biggest land deal in the history of Kerala's infotech sector, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Wednesday signed a lease deed for 82 acres of land worth Rs.1,500 crore here.
The company has paid Rs.75.25 crore as the initial down payment for the land in the Technocity project.

TCS will invest Rs.1,500 crore in the project coming up near the Technopark campus.

Steps to be followed before filling up of the VITEEE-2011 On-line Application form

Before filling the application form, Kindly refer the Information Brochure carefully.

Fill all the columns carefully, incomplete application will be rejected.

Enter the required details and then click on the 'Submit & Proceed to Printing' Button on the bottom of the page.

Please check the content before proceeding for print. The print out should be in A4 size only.

The duly filled-in application form to be affixed with colour passport size photograph and Signature.

The application form to be sent along with the DD of Rs. 750/- drawn in favour of ‘VIT University’, payable at Vellore for Indian candidates (or 50 USD for NRI candidates).

Kindly note down the application no. generated for any future correspondence.

VITEEE 2011 Btech Admissions Eligibility

B.TECH. DEGREE PROGRAMME

Admission to B.Tech. Degree Programme is based on VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) conducted all over India.

Eligibility

• A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent with a minimum average of 60% of marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics or Biology (PCM / PCB)
  
  
• A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent with 50% average marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics or Biology (PCM / PCB) for candidates belonging to SC/ST and Students hailing from Jammu & Kashmir and from the North Eastern States of Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, Sikkim, Nagaland, Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh
  
  

• Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) candidates are eligible for all the programmes
  
  
• Physics, Chemistry & Biology (PCB) candidates are eligible only for B.Tech. Bioinformatics, Biotechnology & Biomedical Engineering programmes

• Advertisement given regarding issue of application forms, important dates etc., in all leading newspapers all over India and notified in the VIT website.
  
• Applications can be obtained from selected Post Offices /  may be obtained by post from VIT.
  
• Entrance exam conducted in major cities all over India.

• Call for counselling in batches and allotment of branches on the basis of the rank.

VITEEE – 2011 application forms through OFF-LINE

The Prospectus and the information brochure for the B.Tech. Degree programme -2011, along with the necessary enclosures which include the Application Form and a printed self-addressed envelope, can be obtained against cash payment of Rs. 750/- from the various post offices as given.

• By sending a Demand Draft for Rs. 750/- drawn in favour of ‘VIT University’ payable at Vellore to the address of Admissions Officer, VIT University, Vellore with a request letter containing the complete address with phone number. (or)

Test Venues for Paper-Based Test and Computer Based Test are different.  The Paper-Based Test will take place only on one day i.e., 06 February 2011 at one time slot i.e., 10.00am-12.30pm, whereas the Computer Based Test will take place from 12 February 2011 onwards in different time slots. If the number of candidates registered for Computer Based Test is few/limited, these candidates have to appear for the Paper-Based Test on 06 February 2011 only. One candidate can appear only for one date for the February 2011 MAT.
Admit Card	All provisionally registered candidates can down load their Admit Card from AIMA website link: www.aima-ind.org/mat_centre.aspx 7 days before the Paper Based test date i.e., with effect from 29 January 2011 (Saturday). Specific Admit Card will be generated both for the candidates opted for the Paper Based Test and for the Computer Based Test. Admit Card would be having Candidate Name, Form No, Roll NO, Test Date, Test Time and Test Venue Address. Candidate has to strictly follow the date and time allotted to them in the case of Computer Based Test. Candidates applied for Computer Based Test and who have been permitted to appear for the Computer Based Test; have to down load the Admit Card 7 days before the Paper Based Test date  i.e., with effect from 29 January 2011 (Saturday) from AIMA website. Candidates accessing the website the earliest can choose the Date and Time of his/her choice subject to availability. Those who have not opted the date and time slot for 4-5 days; will be automatically allotted date and time slot by the system.  No request for change of date and time slot can be entertained.
